Life expectancy of robotic vacuum rubber tracks

I have a Dolphin Premium that is 2.5 years in age and I've noticed the rubber tracks aren't as as pliable as they once were and I've noticed the unit slipping a bit when it ascends the pool walls. I understand variables are at play, but what is the average life expectancy of the robotic vacuum tracks before they should be replaced? Thanks.

m,

Obviously depends on how often they are used, but in my case, I get about 5 years on a set of tracks. I base this on the three older Dolphins that I have been running for the past 10 years.. I have no experience with the specific one that you have.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Yes...Lot's of variables, daily run time, water chemistry, UV exposure and etc at play here, usually track wear is attributed to the type of pool surface.

If you can get 1 or 2 years on most tracks, that's considered good. Also it places higher strain on your drive system, since it has to work harder. This alone can lead to other issues.

When in doubt, replace them for better performance.
