Ok great. Your unit makes 1FC per 1.5 hours at 100%. You can either set the timer to operate for 1:45 (wiggle room), or use your full runtime and then use the 40% / 60% (etc).
For your CYA of 60, get it to 8FC with LC if it isn't already, and set the cell to produce 1:45 hours. (Road test and adjust). With 1 FC loss per day, an 8 is a 5 day buffer from min, and PLENTY for this time of year. It will only lower as the season winds down and if you're losing .5 a day, then a 6 is plenty.
*keep in mind your cover is a big reason for such little loss. If you're going to have an all day swim/party, either spike the FC with LC, or ramp up the cell the day before. It'll make about 16FC in 24 hours and will easily bump you 5(?) or whatever you need at the time.
*if at any time you find it closer to min than you'd like, LC is the immediate fix. If you're already free and clear of min, then you can let the cell do it by tomorrow.
*the unit has 2 scales. 2%, 4%, 6%, 8, 10% (flashing) and 20%, 40%, 60%,80%, 100% (solid). Cycle it all the way up and all the way down and take note. From then on you'll always know with a glance.
*to use 'boost mode', press the less and more buttons together. It will turn the cell on 100% for 24 hours and reset to the original % after that. It's great to not have to remember, because let's be honest.

Be conscious of your unit making 16 FC in 24 hours if you're using a long runtime at that time. If you're using a 6 hour pump time, then boost mode would add 4 FC and would cover most events that you'd want to use it. To undo boost mode, press the two buttons again. Do it once now on/off for practice and again, you'll be good with it forever.
