Learning to do this on my own

Daytime 6-8 while I am at work and overnight is .5-1
OK so there's still work to be done. Go into poolmath settings and share the logs. If you haven't already, upgrade for $7 (for the year). Then we can see your history and potentially spot things trending south before they do. Eventually you will too. Anywho it's cheap and worth every penny. :)

I did do the upgrade. I have not retested any other things because I didn’t think I keep testing during slam. Also, I have had to add water due to having to backwash. I have well water and know that it always makes my ph go up. Should I be rechecking those?

Also not sure how to post the poolmath info here.

Home page. Click the gear in the upper right. scroll to bottom. enable sharing with TFP. Make sure your login in the app and here are the same. Will show when you click my profile name.

My entries are pretty random but I will start logging everything from this point on.
Nice. The free version only saves 1 log. The paid one saves them all, which is real helpful when you're learning and want to compare your notes that you didn't keep. :ROFLMAO:

And then we can see them too and might spot something you didn't.

My mind is playing tricks on me. This looks clear. Is this crystal clear? No fc lost last night. I have to go to work today so do I test my fc when I get home and see how much I lost today while I’m gone? Currently my fc is at 21.5.

Did you pass all 3 criteria?

  • CC is 0.5 or lower
  • AND you pass an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test
  • AND pool water is crystal clear with no visible sign of algae (dead or alive) on floor and walls
When all three are true, you are done SLAMing and can allow the FC to drift down to normal levels.

I passed my over night test and no cc. I am having a hard time deciding if this is crystal clear.

Throw a nickel on the bottom and see if you can tell heads or tales!

Here are some pics to help you determine TFP clear:
