Yesterday I noticed wetness under my sta rite heater. I removed cover and noticed that the top and sides of the tecmark pressure switch is wet. I assume it should not be wet. I have not used the heater since the beginning of the season and did not try to turn it on. See pic. Does this need to be replaced? If so, how do you do that. Also, what does it do? Thanks

The pressure switch will not allow the heater to fire unless it sees pressure in the plumbing which would indicate that there is water flowing through the heater.

That's an easy fix... disconnect the two wires and carefully unscrew the switch. Replace with a new one and reconnect the wires.
