PB4-60Q

Replaced parts over the years. A few o-ring seals..a volute...a ceramic seal.

BUT... just found a crack in the 'back' of the volute area... Not the front, which is clamped on...this is on the back side that appears to be part of the motor. On the diagram it is #1. (Crack is around 1.5" long, circumferentially just next to the clamping ring. (As you look at the ring in place, about 1/8" from the ring)

The old parts diagram calls this "P64". You buy the motor WITH this part.

That is, if it were still made. Looks ike I am buying a new pump.

Agree?

Welp... yeah you could by a new pump.. or put that money into a Robot. If I had a full booster pump failure like that, I would be looking at the next generation of pool cleaning gizmos instead of sticking with the old. From what I've read here, they cost less to operate and do a better job cleaning, but they cost a lot.

Whole pump. Its a new PB4-60 booster pump:

Likely drill some new holes in the concrete to mount it. Maybe glue for the intake as I assume the dimensions will change a bit, the flex off the output is fine (replaced last season))

The best price for just THAT part I needed, termed "P64" was $301. When it was available... seems its been quite a few years since it was made. So even if I COULD buy it, doesnt make sense.

I'm going to second @mguzzy . Ditch to old pressure side cleaner, spend that money on a robot. Call Marina pool and Spa and get a Dolphin S20. Sell your old pressure side cleaner and you might come out even. Just my $.02

You are half way to the low end robots for the price of just a pump. most of the robot manufactures are offering summer rebates right now... and I bet you sell the rest of your pool sweep on C-L... And they pull a lot less power than the pumps. just sayin.

BTW howdy from the other side of SacTown.
