Leak in my inground pool

Thanks for your help i appreciate. I will do that and that will be as far as i would go.
One more question, it's leaking as a much lower rate now. If it would be the liner at the bottom of the pool, does the quantity of water above the leak influence the flow rate of the leak ?

Yesterday I out a plug on the skimmer i believe was leaking even though the water was much lower.
I dived in the pool to look around, could not find anything. And i gave up on touching the drain. Then i filled up the pool right below the skimmer for 12 hours, stopped and went back this morning to continue.

And oh surprise... I have not lose any water overnight !

The only difference in my eyes between yesterday and today :
The plug in an empty skimmer
I have drain my pool filter to add some sand and change the multiport valve.

Is their a rational explanation to this ?
