Leak in cap of sacrificial anode

Has anyone had to deal with a small drip coming from the cap of the sacrificial anode? (see attached pic).

I removed the cap and there were two sealing rings, one in the black cap and one on the main body that it attaches to. I put lubricant on both rings and screwed it back together but to no avail. I guess I am only "hand tight" but I really tightened it hard, to the point where I was concerned about it breaking if I put more force on it considering it is only plastic.

I was wondering about putting thread tape on it, but since it has sealing rings figured that would be counter productive.

Has anyone else seen and resolved this issue. Thanks in advance.
