I repaired a small leak on the pressure sensor summer of 2022, however this winter a major leak kicked the lx400 off the edge, and today it was replaced.

~~~~~~~~~~~ Original post below ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
my 23yo Laars lx400 has started to leak somewhere and I'm considering replacing it vs repairing it.
I have a pool/spa combo and with solar and a cover It is used to heat just the spa 99% of the time.
It appears some are not avail in CA. What are people getting these days?
@1poolman1 is in No CA and may know best what works in your area.
Many repair parts are no longer readily available for that heater (same as mine, different control panel).
MasterTemp/Max-E-Therm have both proven to be reliable. RayPak seems to have resolved an issue they had with a hi-limit switch. When its time for a repair (and it will be sooner or later) RayPaks are usually simpler and less expensive.
Go with the Jandy JXI. I used to exclusively install Raypak/Rheem but about 5 years ago I saw lots of issues with these units. So I switched to Jandy. So far I find their product to be solid plus it's pretty rodent proof which is needed in some areas.
I thought I would circle back with a final update.
Today I had the 25 year old lx400 replaced with a Pentair MasterTemp 400 NG.
The heat exchanger began to leak and was significant at any pressure over 10 to 12 PSI.
Thanks for the prior suggestions. Hoping to get many years of life from the new heater.
