Has anyone here ever re-soldered the K1 relay for the issue HIGH SALT/AMPS - and had it fix the problem. I am very familiar with the thread that got hijacked by the NO CELL POWER issue.....I am certain all the "it worked for me!" were from people who had no cell power...... I know it is the fix for that. However, is there anyone on this forum that had it fix the high salt/amps issue? My volts are -40.62 Amps 10.05.... I have done it to fix no cell power.... and tried it for the heck of it anyway today. It did not work. Hayward says my PCB needs to be replaced.... anyone know what needs to be replaced on the board?

My system was reading over 40 volts and 10 amps, low ppm of salt (1700) and giving the high amp error. My cell was only about 4 months old, so I checked the salt level, which was 3700. I tried rereading/resetting the cell and received a no cell power, I tried again and back to high amps. Afterward I took the panel off and looked at the board, and the tell tale burnt solder joint was there. I resoldered the board, put everything back together and everything is working fine. My advice, look at it, and if you have the signs that the k1 fix might work and you have high volts with the high amps error, try it... it worked for me.

Just did the K1 re-soldering yesterday with success! Thanks to this forum for the information. My symptoms were almost identical to those above and my salt cell was just replaced late last year.
Outstanding! :goodjob: Glad it helped. By the way ..... welcome to TFP!
