I'd recommend reading pool basics, investing in a proper test kit, and reading up on FC/CYA levels and their importance for sanitation. Everything you need to know is in the Pool Basics articles, but if you have any specific questions, feel free to ask. Chlorine, and chlorine only, is the sanitizer that keeps your pool clean and clear. None of the other magic potions, etc at the pool stores or big box store will work as well as plain chlorine.

Welcome! You can also consider treating your pool as a seasonal or temporary pool
