The instructions on the kit I bought says to multiply the number of drops it took to turn red from green by 11. It took 6 drops…. It was actually the same last week too.
A TA of 60 should be fine, and even if it falls to 50 you should be okay. That's as low as you want to go though for buffering stability of the pH. Other than that, as long as you have no forms or aeration running all the time, you'll simply have to find a nice pattern of adding acid to keep the pH at about 7.8 when the water temp is still warm to help prevent the likelihood of scale on the SWG cell plates.
