JepR upgrade advice

I am Looking for some advice/recommendations on upgrading a failing JepR var speed controller. Ideally would like a few more program/run cycles, a better interface (wifi-phone maybe) and ability to control lights-nothing too fancy; just simple and reliable.
The jepr is going into lockout mode often, the screen is fadiing and its a bit cumbersome to program. I Appreciate any recommendation that you may have.
