My Jandy spa side remote was causing my pool equipment to turn on/off randomly, so I have a new remote on order and plan to do a DIY replacement. I found a few detailed videos on replacing these things so I’m pretty confident. Should I be concerned that there is water in the wiring conduit though?

My install went smooth! The only minor thing is I noticed the new switch is slightly loose in the hole (the old switch fit a little more snug). Should I just leave it like that or should I add a little silicone caulk around the bottom edge to “glue” it in place?

A few dabs of caulk would be good but don't lock it in for the next time it needs to be replaced.
