Jandy remote lost connection unable to reconnect

All, My Jandy remote (model: R0687300) recently stopped working, it would not go past "waiting" (image1) when I power it on. I followed the instructions in the troubleshooting section to reset the remote, it states "Turn off power to the system. Disconnect battery at the Power Center and turn on power. Reconnect the battery and reset time and date." I assume it is referring to the 9v at the control box, but mine does not have one (image2). I went ahead and turned off the main power to equipment, and switched back on but was never prompted to reset date/time. So This did not work, I then searched here and a thread from a number years ago someone recommend to change the channel it uses. I tried this procedure but it just hangs on the "slide switch to learn mode" (image3) .. Any feedback on what I may be doing wrong or alternate ideas to get remote back on line is much appreciated. Thanks!!

I would check the wiring connection of the antenna to the RED connector on the PCB. It may have lose contact. Cut off the ends, strip and replace wire in the RED connector.
Also, it is best to do this with the Aqualink system powered down, redo the connections and power back on.
