I've just changed my plumbing over to use the spillover mode on my Jandy iAqualink system for 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the evening. Would it be beneficial to run in spa mode for 20 minutes or so before switching to spillover mode? I'm thinking it would help filter anything that may have settled to the bottom of the spa. Am I overthinking things?
Also, is there a recommended speed to run the pump for spillover mode? I've gone with the "set it to the lowest effective speed" right now which is 1000RPM. It seems to still move water very well at that speed. The default speed of 2750 had the spillover almost shooting water out of the spa into the pool.
