Does anyone know what three blinking asterisks mean next to Filter Pump on a One Touch screen? The filter pump is not running when you see the asterisks. Tried googling and checking manuals and have not found any information.

My guess is it can't determine what it is, so it shows that until the pump come online.
It's a Pentair Intelliflo variable speed pump.
Another strange thing is we have the pump currently programmed to run from 10 am to 4 pm every day but at about midnight we hear the pump turn on and then turn off after 5 minutes. It does the same thing 5 minutes later and then again 5 minutes later then doesn't come on again until the programmed time (10 am). We have checked the one touch programming and we don't have anything else programmed except the pool pump from 10 am to 4 pm. Any one have any ideas what is causing this?

What specific model number Intelliflo pump?
IntelliFlo firmware V3.03 & V3.04 in 011028 or 011056 pumps or IntelliFlo3 pumps can cause intermittent RS-485 connection problems. We have had threads on members having these problems with their pumps.
