Jacuzzi Water Temp Monitoring

My pool equipment is 50 yards or more from the kitchen door and all manual control. One minor hassle is to monitor the rising temp of the water as the Jacuzzi is turned on, especially when it's a bit colder outside. I own an Ambient Model WS-2902C Wireless Weather System, highly rated and works great. Has anyone tried something like this accessory to monitor pool water temp:

It's a small module with a ten-foot wire and a probe at the end, and it transmits water temp back to the main station. When not in use, I could store it in a nearby deck box for protection.
