Hi. Our spa had a Pentair Aqualight (120v, 250w Halogen), replaced 4 years ago, now bad again. Sad story here.

Aqualight seems no longer available. I see some recommendations for PoolTone in past threads. This model looks like a pretty direct replacement.

**See below. Pooltone turns out to be the pits. Now asking about J&J PureWhite.**

$500+ is pretty intimidating for a 6-inch white light. Before we plunk down again, does anyone have experience with quality and longevity of this brand?

Any recs of other options?

Many thanks for all help on this and past questions. What a great community...

Can't you just replace the bulb?

Thanks. The fixture had a leakage resistance from hot to ground, varying from 300k to 3 megs. Still, since I had a bulb and gasket, I did the replacement. It blew the breaker again after 5 minutes. Only explanation I can see is the cord seal failed. The previous light failed the same way.

Really appreciate all the help. I set this aside for a while to get over the idea of hundreds of $$$ for a light that fails in 4 years :p .

Based on the Wiki page list, I'm now looking at the J&J PureWhite LPL-S1W-120-50-P. From the drawings, it will fit my niche.

Does anyone have experience with these? Thanks.

Mine lasted about 2 years and then the housing failed and it got water in it and stopped working. Also, the mounting screw rusted because it was apparently not stainless steel. I loved it, but I am not sure I am buying another one.

Thanks. Are you referring to the Pooltone in your sig block or to a J&J PureWhite ? Thanks.
