Brushed last night. That stuff was just settled plaster dust. Lots and lots of plaster dust!
May I add that the pool startup guy told me not to worry about brushing the pool while he is not back here until Monday because there is a "special way" to do it because the plaster is very delicate right now.
I would get a manual vacuum to get that stuff up and out of the pool. That dust can become embedded in the new plaster you know like when you don't brush it in the *special* way You can get a butterfly head and hose from Walmart. You might have to run to Lowes or such to get a skimmer plate like this: https://www.amazon.com/Hayward-SP11...d=1552157236&s=gateway&sr=8-4&tag=googhydr-20 Now you will need to measure for size to make sure it fits.
Well that was from the startup guy. My PB is totally awesome. He drove all the way over yesterday morning first thing with the pole he had forgotten, and hung out here brushing the whole pool thoroughly and walking us through what all the stuff is. The startup guy will be back tomorrow to vacuum. We've been brushing a lot (it's fun!)
Here's some pics from just now:
I think I am going to make that BLING pic my decktop!!! That is the money shot right there! Showing off the BLING to the max=sun and water really making it SHIMMER! WOW!
I can't remember if I shared this link with you: Pool Finish and Color Viewing Room...TFP Member Sound Off Take and share a pic looking down at your shelf/steps to show of how the plaster looks at different depths. Make sure to include the make of the plaster as well as color and any extras you had added.
Quick question- startup guy is coming to install the SWCG today, but it has only been 12 days. I thought you had to wait 30 days before using a SWCG with new plaster.
When it is time to add the salt make sure you have all of your friends and family over, especially the kids! We call salt day Diamond Day as the salt looks like diamonds as it floats down. The kids in the water helps mix it up and they have fun!
