Hello all. new pool owner here and trying to get a handle on my water chemistry. like so many others, I have just realized that the constantly rising pH is a result of the 3 section raised spillway from the spa to the pool that runs with the pool pump. I am trying to creat a Pool only mode, Spa only mode and Spillover Mode. let me know if I need to provide more information but would like your input on if it is possible to rig it this way so the pool can run without spa spillover and then the spa can run as needed for water chemistry.

Post larger pic of your pool equipment and especially the valves on the return side so we can zoom in and see how things a e set.

Any labels on your various pipes and valves?

TW,

On the left side of your pad there is a yellow gas handle. Below it is a check valve.. Just to the right of the check valve is a manual Jandy style valve. If you turn the handle of that valve, so that it points to the right, it should shut off your spa over flow.

Try it and see what happens.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Allen, thanks. No labels unfortunately. I have asked the builder to come back and do that, but still waiting. I uploaded a second pic with better view of the return side, but I will get a better pic tomorrow and upload.

Thanks Jim. will try that and report back. If that does work, does that mean this could only be done manually? or would I need an electronic valve then?

Once you shutoff the flow to the spa while in POOL mode as Jim described then you create a SPILLOVER feature circuit with TYPE SPILLOVER in your IntelliCenter.

Then you create schedules to run the feature circuit twice a day for 15 minutes to refresh the spa water.

Assign a pump speed to the SPILLOVER circuit in the pumps section.

The SPILLOVER will then run daily following the schedule and you can turn the circuit on manually when you want.

TW,

To be clear... You already have automated Intake and Return valves, and those two valves are what will control your Spa Spillover..

Basically, the Intake valve will move so that all the water is sucked from the Pool.. And, the Return valve will move so that all the water will be sent back to the Spa. This configuration will obviously cause your spa to spillover into the pool.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Does the spa fill from a dedicated line or the jets when it is in pool mode?
