Is SWG worth it?

It appears the Edge series runs full time when on. From Circupool rep:
"The Edge model does not work on a duty cycle so it operates full time at the set level."
Set at 50%, it just uses less power to produce 50% output. I would think that's a good thing for cell life. Will be interesting to see if my FC of 8 keeps going down if I'm only generating 1 oz per day (at my current 12%, 8hr, setting). I'm sure I'll need to bump it to 62% once my FC hits 5.

Curious, is 3200 better than 3500-3600? I've been at 3200 for 2 days and debating whether to add 1 more bag. Does salt content effect cell efficiency?

Not enough to go chasing it. 3200 is fine. Stop tinkering and go swim.

Lol. Water at 72, still too cold (down 3 degrees from last night). Should put my cover back on since oaks are dropping like crazy, but I'm too lazy. 2 or 3 more days will be there!

It may take a while, but eventually you’ll stop watching your swg preform it’s magic & have confidence that it is operating properly. You’ll move on to the “trust but verify stage” & just pet it occasionally for being a good little swg

Swam yesterday! Did my first test today with SWG on. FC 6 just before it switched on, 7.5 8 hours later. Fairly sunny, pool at 78. Edge-40 set at 38%. Didn't really expect FC to go up that much with that low setting (should be about 4 oz chlorine). Knocking to 25% tomorrow.
As far as the salt, don't smell and barely taste it. Open my eyes underwater with no stinging. Just pulling out a 40 gallon bag of oak leaves each day or two.

Their eyes don't sting either.
I didn't know any better and used the idiot light the first bunch of years like 2 peas in a pod. By the time I learned, it worked so well in the low part of the range, there was no reason to add more. The added bonus was no, or very very little taste.
