Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm on year 7 of this pool, and every year it seems like it's something new.
I'm stuck though, and I'm getting disillusioned with the pool company I usually get advice from.
Pool Size: 28000 << 18x36, side & bottom skimmer, 2 returns
Surface: Vinyl << needs to be replaced, but not the immediate problem
Chlorine: Salt Water Generator
SWG Type: Pentair iChlor 30 << Cleaned cells today. 8400 hours. Set at 100 right now.
Pump Pentair 1.0HP << Runs 24/7
Filter Pentair CC200. << Cleaned today
Heater Pentair Mastertemp 250 << set at 85)
Not sure if this is a symptom or the cause, but the iChlor has a flashing Green for Cell.
Readings yesterday
I sprayed a bottle of PhosAway last night.
This morning added 12 gallons of 10% chlorine.
When I cleaned the blades on the SWCG this morning, there was a small amount of buildup. After I re-installed, everything lit up Green and was theoretically on, however 30 minutes later, Cell is flashing Green again.
I can tell I was fighting the early stages of an algae bloom and I'm hoping I caught it early enough.
Any advice is appreciated.
