Is Pentair Prowler 917 similar to S200?

q,

It may be, but the S200 scrubs the waterline tile. When I look at the "specs" of the 917 it does not say that it cleans the waterline tile. It may, but I find it odd that it does not specifically say it will.

Edit... Looking at the pics, the 917 does not have the ports on the side that the S200 has. When the S200 climbs up to the tile line, water is blown out one of the side ports and this forces the robot to move horizontally along the tile line. Since the 917 does not have these ports, I don't think that they left off the "cleans the tile line" by accident.

Thanks,

Jim R.

q,

I have been using robots for almost 14 years, but they have all been Dolphins, so I am a tad biased..

I have never used a Hayward or Polaris robot, so have no idea if they are better or worse.

Of the two Dolphins on the list, I would go with the Prowler 917, before I'd go with the Nautilus CC Plus which is old tech.

I recommend that you wait until this logistical nightmare is over and then see what is available then.

Thanks,

Jim R.
