Is DPD Reagent #1 (R-0001) the same as FAS-DPD Titrating Agent (R-0871)?

I have a Taylor K-2006 complete test kit. I'm in mid-SLAM of pool and just realizing my R-0871 FAS-DPD titrating agent is near depleted. I planned to go to local Taylor rep in town and pick up new bottle but got a funny look. It seems everyone around here talks in terms of K-2005 kit and their chlorine reagent is R-0001. Could/should this be used in place of R-0871? Can it get me by until my 0871 reagent arrives? Help!

I am new to all this, and going through R0871 pretty fast. When I reorder, I will be buying 16 ounces from Amazon, at just a little bit more than 2 ounces....

I don't want to break any rules here by posting the link, but a quick search will show you that it's way more economical to buy the larger quantity. And Amazon ships pretty quickly.

Best of luck!
