Is cya required with no sunlight?

Title states it. Do I need stabilizer in my inflatable spa when the water almost never sees sunlight. The tub is under a porch roof with the opaque cover on 98 percent of the time.

Yes you do, otherwise the chlorine will eat your skin off..

Ok, not really that bad, but without any CYA the chlorine will be very harsh...

I suggest you add 30 ppm of CYA..
