is Closed Cell Pool Wall Foam worth it?

i ordered a kit from royal pools for a large L shaped in ground vinyl. i dont believe its coming with the wall foam and the salesman didn't push it / offer it. I've seen it pop up a few times in threads/articles though.

Is it typically worth using or naaaah?

i'm in northern california where its cool at night and can bet hot AF in the day if it matters

Most heat is lost from the top of the pool so wall foam does not do much for that part of it. I will tell you that several people had problems with the foam falling off the walls over time. That is very hard to fix when it happens. In my eyes there is more cons than pros for wall foam.

It's R value is very low so it's almost laughable from an insulation standpoint, but I would want it to bridge any seams in the wall panels.

My walls are cement but same dealio, it covered all the imperfections.
