Liquid Chlorine
I had problem with algae and high CYA above 100. I shocked my pool with liquid chlorine over 3 days till all the algae is disappeared.
off course I was cleaning my filter daily (DE filter). Then I changed half of the pool water with fresh water. I managed to bring CYA level to 50. which is perfect, and the pool water was crystal clear. before I add anything I tested my pool water and the results were
FC 1
CC 0.5
PH 8.3
TA 90
I adjusted the PH to 7.6 and I added 2 gallon of liquid chlorine. Now the results after two days of pump running 10 hrs. a day at full speed
are
FC 9.5
CC 1.5
PH 8
TA 90
My pool water is crystal clear with no sign of Algae but CC level is 1.5 which is concerning me
I am planning to fix the PH and maintaining FC of 7 to match the CYA level.
Do I need to do anything else regarding CC
Thanks

Welcome and it seems like you shocked the pool a couple of times but did not do the full SLAM process, which is what we recommend for algae.

Assuming you have one of the approved test kits, read up on the SLAM process which will completely get rid of the algae. I suspect your shocking killed the visible algae, but its still fighting something with a CC of 1.5. Read up on the SLAM process and get at it. Note the 3 criteria to end the SLAM, including CC < 1.0.

I question that result.

What kit are you using?

It seems like you are not really following the complete SLAM process.
