Is an 8” cut in my Zodiac Pool fixable?

One of my kids thought it was a good idea to throw a brick at the lower wall of our 20’ 10,000 gallon pool. After it drains, Does anyone think a cut that size is repairable? It’s about 6-8” from the bottom of the pool which is under a lot of tension from the water. I have a roll of vinyl patching from Zodiac and vinyl pool cement, only thing is I will have to use multiple pieces of patching due to the half moon shape of the hole. My concern is patching it, letting it sit for 24 hours, refilling and it not being able to hold all of that water pressure. Does anyone have any experience with something like this?

Welcome to TFP.

If you are willing to risk the water give a patch a try. What do you have to lose?

I would patch it on both sides and overlap the seams on the patches.

That pool is a complete loss in my opinion. Said child would also be grounded!
