Is a Raypak 266 heater a large enough heater for our 20 x 44 pool?

Our heater in our pool died this year and we need to replace it. Local Pool company suggested a Raypak 266 but then someone mentioned thought that may not be large enough. Any suggestions? We want a reliable heater that works and doesn’t take forever to heat up our pool. We open to any brand heater. Just wondering what other people recommend for heater brand and size, etc. Any feedback appreciated.

That heater will take about 1.5 hours to heat your pool up 1 deg F. That is without any significant losses at the pool or through the flow lines. It is pretty weak. You have a very large volume pool.

What heater did you have before?

I would replace it with a 400k BTU heater. Raypak is popular on the site but there are other quality heaters too.
