Intex sand filter first time setup.

First time using sand filter. I know nothing about them and when i read about getting tank clamp assembly on correct or it could blow up, a red flag came up. Im gun shy anyway and this may be a silly question, but should the screws on the tank clamp close the clamp flush? They wont go together flush and now im leary to procede with set up. Help please.

i didnt tube it but i found a couple pictures that look like the way mine looks, so im assuming mine is ok. am i assuming correctly?

As long as that multiport valve top is sitting down evenly and the clamp ring is securing the value to the filter body, you should be good. If it wasn't secure, you would probably see a water leak right away.

great. It all looks flush! Thanks so much. Pool is now full and going to try my hand at doing the initial startup. Wish me well. Tips and advise accepted from anyone. Going for salt in a little while.
