Intex Metal Pool 24x52, leaving it up in a NY winter?

Hi All,
I'm considering an Intex metal frame 24x52 for next year. It's a large pool and would be a huge hassle to take down each year so my thought is to have someone come in to make sure the ground is level (we've tried in the past and are not that successful) and then leave it up in the winter. We're near Albany NY so some years we get quite a bit of snow and cold temps. How would the pool fare? I would hope to get about 3-4 years out of it for the price of it.

Thoughts and opinions?

We have a much smaller Intex pool (12'x30") that handled our rather cold Canadian winter past with no problems. Pump and sand filter were removed and stored in the basement. Water level dropped to below the intakes & returns, which were also plugged.

I'm certain this thing froze SOLID through the winter, and we had a lot of of swampy water on the cover to drain in the spring. No issues here from what would be expected from a typical winter.

That said we don't see the kind of precipitation some areas of upstate NY do. My in-laws near Watertown, NY saw several more feet than us--good 'ol lake effect[emoji4]

We don't get a lot of snow, but freezing temps are not uncommon and I left my last Intex pool up for 4 years with no ill effects. In my opinion, taking them down and storing them is harder on them than just leaving them up. I drained below the Hayward thru-wall skimmer, disconnected the hoses and put a tarp over it.
