I use the YELLOW bags, salt pellets, because they are 99.9% NACL (the solar salt is only 99%)... doesn't sound like a big difference but ~700lbs the 1% is still SEVEN POUNDs of dirt or things that are not salt ;)...

Since you have a sand filter, you will slowly lose salt from backwashing the filter. Don't assume the Diamond Crystals Solar Naturals is cheaper. At my local Lowes, it is $9.98 per bag. In the outdoor section in the pool supplies, Diamond Crystals Pool Salt is $8.98 per bag.

Late to the party -

From my manual for the RJ series from Circupool:
One needs a run of 15.75" for the Cell install, and 4" for the flow switch install. The flow switch must also have a 6-12" straight pipe before it. The Cell can count as the straight pipe.

Just before my conversion, after years of tabs and jugs, my salt tested at 2,400 ppm. And I lower the pool a lot every winter! So not near as many bags of salt as one would think.

Only one year, but the control center has been outside all the time. Manual says rated for outdoor use, but common sense considerations such as minimizing direct exposure to rain, sunlight, sprinklers, etc will enhance longevity. Mine made it through the harsh Minn. winter, wrapped in heavy plastic to keep sun/rain/snow off during that time.

Corrosion is not a worry; as others have mentioned, all pools are salt-pools because of the sodium added from chlorine, acid, etc.
SWCG does not meaningfully affect pH. Where people are led astray is when they switch from using chlorine tablets that are highly acidic, they begin to see the actual effects of TA in their water. TA is what causes pH to rise; but once TA equilibrates (50-60), pH drift ceases.

Pools are tricky because there's so much Crud information out there, so much hearsay and conjecture from other pool owners, builders, etc.
TFP methods are built on the science of it all; which is why the results are consistent and repeatable.

Before adding any salt, test your water first with a K-1766. You might be surprised how much salt is already in the water. Use PoolMath to help with the calculations. Look into getting the salt delivered. I had Home Depot deliver my salt yesterday for $9.

Got the K-1766 in the mail yesterday. Salt tested at 1022 ppm. Thats with my chlorine pool.! I was suprised.

I actually pulled the trigger on the RJ 60+ got it off Amazon. The vendor that sells with would not honor my tax exemption so I went with Amazon where I am tax exempt. They have a $100 off coupon and when I called Amazon told them I was struggling with buying, they took off another $100, so I got it for $1399 total.

I have been researching this brand that according to the SDS is 100% NaCL. Ever heard of this??

Maybe it's a typo, but check your test result. 1022 is not a valid result. You should have a multiple of 200 ppm.

On the pool math app it is recommending a higher calcium chloride for salt pools. I try to keep my levels 325-400... What do you guys do with yours?
 
Get the blue bags of Diamond Crystal Solar Naturals. It may have a trace amount of dirt/rocks (although I haven't seen any in 4 years), but more importantly it doesn't have any added chemicals such as anti-caking agents or metals. At my HD, it's $6.50/bag if you buy 6 or more. Delivery was $9.

Not true. If available, please use our recommendation...Yellow and Green bags generally contain additives. You can ALWAYS type in "[Product Name] SDS" in Google to get ingredients.
