Intellitouch i9+3 and Expansion Center i10x not working properly 520949 receiver

don't mess with the two inside screws too much... those are the data lines and they're easy to damage.

but yeah, if you're getting 17volts on the outside screws of the comm port at the outdoor panel and nothing at the antenna, then it seems like the cable is broken.

You might want to power down, disconnect the terminal block from the antenna card, power back up and measure the voltage on the antenna's two outside screws again. (it's not strictly necessary but eliminates the possibility that the antenna is causing the voltage problem... in reality, if the antenna was drawing too much power and killing the voltage, then you wouldn't be seeing 17volts at the outdoor comm port either)

I usually temporarily replace any questionable cable with a short length to see if fixes the problem... just power everything off before you mess with the comm port screws or you could damage the boards!
So you think it’s a cable issue? Could this be causing all the other issues too? For the expansion panel? What kind of cable is it? If I end up needing to replace it.

Does anyone thing the I-Link adapter could be interfering with anything? It connects and integrates with our homes crestron system.
K,

People that troubleshoot for a living do not guess and blindly replace parts...

They test and fix what they find wrong.. then move on to the next test, etc...

At this point you have no voltage going to your Transceiver antenna.. You need to fix that problem, and then see where you are.

As a side note.. I used to work for AMX, which was the main competitor for Crestron.. This was a long time ago, when touch screens were only for the really rich.. :).

Thanks,

Jim R.

K,

It is just door bell wire or something similar..

Needs to have at least 4 wires..

I would not use Ethernet cable.

Home Depot or Lowes..

Of course you would just buy 3 or 4 feet or whatever length you need..

Thanks,

Jim R.

+1 to Jim's wire recommendation, but I'll add that if it's exposed to sun make sure it's UV protected or it'll just rot and crumble.

Replaced wires. Getting a reading at the antenna now. Still no power lights on. How can I sync the antenna to my remote? I cleared the remote at one point maybe it just needs to be synced again.
Can I get clarification on what this random wires are? One set goes to the expansion panel. The other set I can’t figure out where it goes yet.

The yellow and green "data line only" wires go to your pump.

The wires going to the expansion panel also look like Ethernet cable, which isn't great... they could be heavy duty/uv protected but I can't tell from looking at them. Might be worth changing that too.

But none of the above is going to fix your antenna card problem... If it's getting power at the terminal block on the card and the power led isn't turning on then something is wrong with it. What's the version number on the back of the antenna card? (2020, 2030, 2040 etc)

Update. Discovered certain parts of the antenna board are very hot to the touch.

I'll send you a pm, I might have a replacement

Make sure the polarity is correct... And can you tell what is hot? (All the parts have a screen printed label)

ok those are the voltage regulator chips... double check the voltage with your multimeter (using the screen printed labels on the board, set your red test lead on the "red" terminal, and your black test lead on the "blk"... you should see a positive number)

then flip it over and tell me the version on the back...
