Hello y’all. New member here.
I have a 15k gallon pool control by intelliconect using 220V with the following connected to intelliconnect:
Pentair variable pump connect through the only rs-485 block in itelliconnect.
Temperature sensor to A
Heater to B
Lights to relay 1
Blue works SCG connect independently to the system.
My Blue works SCG giving me lots of trouble after 3 years so I just bought a Ichlor30 and try integrate to intelliconnect.
I ran into problem with Intelliconnect has ONLY one RS-485 block. What is my option to have ichlor connected to my existed system to have ot automated using Pentair app.
There is one suggest I connect both the variable pump and ichlor to the same RS-485 block. Will this suggestion work? If not what other option available at the least cost?
Thank you in advance.

Welcome to the forum.
You can connect multiple devices to a single RS485 block. Using a pigtail can make connection more secure.

You can put two wires on each screw of a RS-485 block without problems. More then that a pig tail is the best technique.

Two wires per screw is probably ok. Three thin wires is doable but not ideal, and more is impossible. So if you have multiple pumps, or an SWG and a radio and a pump, or some other combination with lots of wires, you'll need either pigtails and tiny wire nuts, or an expansion board with multiple terminal blocks wired together.

Pentair makes a very nice expansion board, with four 2-wire terminal blocks for pumps and three 4-wire blocks for chlorinator / radio / control panel / heater / etc., plus mounting brackets. Part number is 520818 and it costs $85.

Also, this 1-to-2 splitter exists, and costs $2.25. I ordered a couple earlier today. I'll post my impressions once they arrive.
