Hi experts,
I posted about a month ago about my intellitouch not working, had someone come out and said the board was bad, so upgraded to a IntelliCenter2 panel and it has been 4 weeks of troubleshooting and calls and still not working.
Hoping for some help before pool person comes again for the 5th time.
Here’s the issue and what I have done so far.
1. No internet to panel ( changed my 5G to 2.4) , shows internet is working
2. Inside receiver was hooked incorrectly inside ( had the old metal “ brick” ) so fixed that
3. Checked to ensure receiver and antenna ( egg shaped) are matching
4. I put in new user on panel and it only lets me get down to “city” and it’s grayed out and won’t let me put in my city ( shows moorpark)
5. The Pentair logo only showed up for a second in right upper corner of display panel then Disappeared ( rep said that should be there)
6. I have reset numerous times
7. I’ve ensure the “Web”toggle is in the on position ( it shows an ip address but not mine) when toggled off all kinds of info but grayed out.
Questions
1. Could it be something inside the panel that is wrong? ( pool person coming out today )
2. Should I switch the 2.4 back to 5 G.
3. At what point does Pentair send someone out , warranty is 60 days and I’m at 30
I am so frustrated… should my pool person be able to do this without me? I’m so done.
I appreciate any advice prior to him coming out.
Thank you in advance
Julie

Julie,

Take the top off of the outside transceiver (egg) and show us a pic or two of the wiring connecting the egg to the IntelliCenter..

It can be wired two ways and I suspect it is wired wrong.

Drop the top panel down and show us pics of the IntelliCenter main card.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Show us pics of the wireless antenna and circuit board. It sounds like you are using the 900Mhz Wireless link.

That is NOT WiFi. You do not select 5G or 2.4. You ignore all the WiFi things on the panel.

OK, you have the 900MHZ wireless link.

Now show us the indoor unit and what LEDs are on or flashing on the indoor unit.

Do the Internet Connection Test on the outdoor panel.

See page 85 in https://www.pentair.com/content/dam...als---user-docs/intellicenter-users-guide.pdf

Do not do "Connect to Wireless Network"

If using the Pentair High Power Wireless Link kit skip to the Internet Connection Test. It should show you are connected. Then register the user using the OCP.

OK, you have online connectivity and your internet link is working.

Power the IntelliCenter down and back up and do not press "Connect to Wireless Network". Once you do that it confuses the box networking.

As far as I recall there is no Pentair logo in the corner of the screen. I am doing things from memory and the manual since my system is shut for the winter.

Your problem now seems to be creating a new account and getting your box logged in for remote control.

You should be able to use the IntelliCenter2 app and web page in local mode and it should find your panel. Have you tried that?

Hi it finds it on the local but I can’t do anything. It won’t let me add a new user account in outside panel

Thanks, it looks like my egg is hooked up correctly and I have double checked that the number match
