Intellicenter Lost WiFi

Changed router and went to intellicenter to update the new network name etc and when I attempt to connect to a wireless network or reboot device I get (TCP_ERR)

Searching TFP I see people who had issues with initial set up. I did not. My system worked great for close to 6 months. I checked connection and all are good. I powered down there Intellicenter and powered back on. Any tips? Complete reboot?

Edit-to add that the new router was purchased to extend the signal as the previous router wasn't strong enough for me to connect to on my phone when at a particular area in my backyard. Never had connection issues prior to new router. New router has awesome signal across my property. Not mesh, nothing like that.
 
Does your wifi name have any special characters in it? I've seen that pop up several times on connection issues.

Other thoughts - does the new router have the 2.4Ghz bands operating, or only the newer 5Ghz? I think the Intellicenter needs 2.4 available. Maybe try turning off 5Ghz and try connecting then.

I also just ran a quick search on TFP and several users were able to get the wireless working by pressing the reset button on the panel for 10 seconds and afterward it worked.

After you changed the network name in the IC did you power down the IC and power it back up?

Is the IP address range and subnet the same with your old and new routers?

Starting with the basics, what lights are showing on the back of your EnGenius WiFi bridge?

No special characters. No spaces. Yes to 5G but am getting an error without seeing any wifi.

Yes I tried the breaker off ‘hard reset’ then now the hold down reset button.

Edit-per my first post the signal is better than before.
 
not sure what the wifi bridge is. There’s a doodad plugged into my router. It’s a Pentair screen logic interface wireless link. It has a power, Rx and tx light on it.

Out back connected to my IC there’s another doodad that’s called a Pentair high power wireless link. There’s some diodes on it.

The connections behind the panel are secure, I removed and reinserted them earlier.

Again, this all occurred when I changed modems. Perhaps I have to do something with the doodad inside?
 
The Pentair high power wireless link does not use WiFI. It uses its own 900Mhz link.

You should not be using the WiFi settings in the IntelliCenter.

The high power wireless link (HPWL) doesn't use IntelliCenter's Wi-Fi setup. It's a dedicated bridge that acts like an Ethernet connection.

Setup IntelliCenter as though you had a wired Ethernet connection. Confirm the HPWL is plugged into your router.

Ah ha! Thanks, I officially feel older and slightly dumber. Take it easy on me-twins just turned 2 yo and there’s been about 2 yrs of crummy sleep. I’ve brained my damage.

What, in your estimation would cause me to no longer have the ability to connect remotely since the change in router? That was why I went into network settings to begin with just thinking that I as where to start. The doodad inside plugged into my router is plugged into the correct port and has power etc.

It’s plugged in. I guess my issue isn’t wifi it’s being able to connect remotely to my ic since the modem change. Sorry for all the confusion and not knowing my system as well as I should.
 
The Pentair manual can be a little confusing too. Just ignore anything mentioning the RS-485 wiring/protocol adapter as that's not for the IntelliCenter.

The indoor unit should have a label somewhere with a MAC address - that should be showing up in your router configuration with an assigned IP address.

Link Kit (P/N 523434). Please refer to the provided installation instructions (P/N 523445) when installing the 900 MHz Wireless antenna. Configure Ethernet, Connect to a Wireless Network, Adjust Wireless Transmit Power, Internet Connection Test, Reboot Wireless Device.
IntelliCenter Wireless Remote Setup: Configure the Address and Panel # for wireless remote.

You need to turn off the wireless setting you set. My pool is closed for the winter so I can’t look at the specific screens. But basically you turned on wireless on the IC so it is looking for it. You need to turn it off.

I can't turn on wireless because every time I try the IC tells me to kick rocks but thanks for the advice. I followed the advice of Guiness and (in my best Borat voice) great success!!
