I have a pool only setup, Will the 5 relays be enough?
-Laminars
-Bubblers
-12v lighting
-Waterfall
What else am I missing?
Well, lets see.
You will need a CIRCUIT for the following:
1 CIRCUIT for each pump. So if you will have a separate pump for the water features, then that's two relays right there.
You indicate 12v lighting but you do not indicate how many lights total and what lights or set of lights that you want individual control over. You have to add up the wattage of all of the low-voltage lights and then determine how many low-voltage transformers you will need.
You can purchase both 150W and 300W low-voltage transformers. The other consideration is what lights do you want to control individually.
For example:
Lets say you have two pool lights and you want those on one circuit or relay. That would mean that when you turn on that relay, both pool lights would illuminate. That is one relay and one low-voltage transformer.
Lets say your bubblers are lighted and you want to control those separately, that's a relay and a low-voltage transformer.
Laminars, same thing.
Any lights planned for the waterfall? (yes they are available).
In other words, whatever lights or set of lights that you want individual control of will be a relay AND a separate low-voltage transformer.
Once you figure that out, then you can calculate the amount of relays and whether you need an i5P, i8P or i10P Personality Kit.
Plan ahead. There are additional items that relays can be used for such as landscape lighting, gazebo lighting etc. Purchasing additional relays are not very hard on your pocket book, but buying a personality or daughter card, a-la-carte, can be a bit pricey.
