Do you already have your CYA to add to the pool water? How about some bleach and a good place to get some from when needed?

Have you run any tests on your fill water? Do all of them except the CYA as that has to be added. Share the results here and I will work you up a shopping list.

cya added. bleach added. per pool calc. haven't tested yet... will do in the morning.

so far all appears ok structure wise.

added intex large strainers. one goes to solar pump, one to sand filter pump. the plumbing i had in my head has been put to real world use. pumps join at a t then onto another t to split off to a future sprinkler after i drill holes...

i hope to finish electrical tomorrow with 2 circuits off of combo afci/gfci breakers., light, and aquasolar controller. for now have 1 run of 100ft vinyl. ill expand to 400 ft this week.

now after some sleep its time to work again!

but first...some numbers. FC7.0 , pH 7.5, TA 100

i added 40oz powdered CYA yesterday and its currently about 1/2 dissolved and 1/2 still in the sock

i added bleach, dont remember the amount from pool math, but it was correct. the FC is high due to the shortage of water from the 10400 gal capacity of the pool. ended up needing a 6th load which will arrive today sometime. i'll let it settle and then retest FC.

my local VFD has supplied the water and the source is the largest city water supply in the area, so i assumed it would be good and it appears it is.

What is the inside diameter of that 400' of vinyl hose? I can't imagine you will get more than a couple of GPM's through that.

Solar heating is all about heating a lot of water a few degrees with a large surface area exposed to the sun.

Nice work none the less, plumbing work looks great.

so i took a break from trench digging and added 2 random lengths of vinyl.... about 12 loops worth each... with t-s, manifold style, which was my plan.... output jumped to about 5-6 gallon per minute out of the eyeball. water temp is about 5 degrees higher at eyeball than surface
