Installing a Fence Around The Pool

Hello,

I am putting in a WamBAM fence in the next couple of weeks around the pool. Being new to the house, I do not know where the pipes run underground. Any advice on determining this sort of attempting to dig up the path? The distance from the pad to the pool deck isn't very far. Is it standard to run the pipes under the pool deck? That would save me a lot of headache because I would just need to determine the point from the pad to the deck to avoid puncturing it the anchors.

Any help or thoughts would be awesome!!

Rock and hard place for you.............some builds have the pipe run under the decking................some have it run outside the decking. It all depends on how the PB likes to do it.

Here is a long shot........go down to city hall and see if they have the plans on file from the permit process! They might even be able to tell you who built the pool and you can see if they are still around to ask.

If none of that pans out take a few pics of your pool and equipment and we might be able to GUESS what they did.

Thanks for the responses. I was able to get the permit plans from the city (great idea); however, it didn't show anything related to the piping system. I was able to contact the sellers and they assured me the pipes are at least 3 ft deep so there was nothing to worry about. I knew they would never bury them that deep in Phoenix so likely they were just bs'ing me, which was annoying. So after researching pool piping systems and looking at my equipment I set about digging the most likely spot and got lucky I didn't puncture anything because the pipers were about 14 inches deep! Wow. But I found them and they run to the pool deck and would appear to run entirely under the deck unless they did something really wonky but that wouldn't make sense. Thanks for the suggestions.
