My pump stopped creating flow, so I removed the casing and found that the impeller had come apart. The outer body of the impeller piece sheared away from the shaft collar that connects to the pump shaft. I have been able to grab the shaft on the opposite end and attempt to unscrew the broken impeller (clockwise), but the impeller will not move. I chipped away all of the plastic from the impeller and found that there is a threaded metal piece embedded inside which is attached to the shaft. My best guess is that the metals have fused together due to heat or corrosion over the years, but I may be mistaken. I am finding the nut impossible to unscrew and could use suggestions on what to do next.
Photos attached of my pump tag, the metal nut currently stuck on the pump shaft, and a used impeller I got from a friend for replacement (which may not fit at all).
I found 2 similar questions from searching history on the forum here:
impeller spins freely, cannot unscrew it - Almost exact same issue, and the owner gave a follow-up further down the post of how he solved the problem (post #7). I have basically done the same things as him, up to his step #3, but I don't have a good idea how to unlock the metal nut after securing the shaft with locking pliers. It sounds like he was able to do it at this point, but I cannot get it to move whatsoever doing the same thing.
Is this impeller broken? - Post #19 on this page gives detail on how to solve the same problem using a bolt and a die. I have never done this before and do not understand the instructions laid out.
Overall my questions are this:

- Could this destroy the pump shaft, or has it already?
- If the replacement impeller I have will not work, can someone suggest where to find the correct part?
- I've seen suggestions to also replace the seal while I am doing this. Where can I find a replacement for this too?
