I wold think a good size shop vac works well for this sort sucking up small wildlife.

I had to call a bee keeper to come remove a big swarm of honey bees from one of my trees last spring. He shop vac'd them right up!

Dont know why it woldnt work for tadpoles too!

I help shop vac my best friends pool over every year and bring the tadpoles back to my pond. It is a win-win. They get to have help opening their pool and my otters get more frogs to eat!
