I’m being told I have chlorine lock.

Ok so my pool is clearing up and is almost clear but I now have several small foam spots on the surface. I am still waiting in my test kit.

Should I do anything other than adding the liquid chlorine each day?
Foam can be the result of the specific additives in the products previously added. I had huge foam issues this year during the SLAM effort. In my case I was using CalHypo as my initial shock and I had a suction leak that added air - the clarifier in the CalHypo is my theory for what caused the foaming. I ended up using an anti foaming agent due to my in-laws being in a major wreck that made switching to bleach complicated at first. My pool is vinyl and I have full water that’s low in calcium so I tried to use CalHypo that I had on hand.

What "clarifier" is there in CalHypo?
