Gus,

It's about time... :)

You have one pump and two filters??? Or do you have two pumps and one filter?

If you have two filters, why...

How do you plan to chlorinate???

Good luck with your construction..

Thanks,

Jim R.

Talk to me about the "correction to my measurements". Who made them and why? (I like to learn from others so I can help others better in the future)

Why do you want to point out my mistakes Kim.. lol When you mark out the pool layout your supposed to mark the exterior wall I did the interior wall because I went off my site plan. That was my fault just didn't know . It was not a big deal the crew just followed same layout for the exterior wall just adding 12" when they formed it.
The spa was a different story. I could not get it to line up correctly when I was laying it out and neither could they because plans had wrong measurements for the spa. Its now a even octagon not a wack out one.

Thanks JBrillo

Today's progress

GusGus  just think! You can help someone down the road with this info! THANKS!

That is one nice dig!! SO neat and clean! Now go out and measure again. NOW is the time to fix or tweak if needed. Is it long, wide, deep (depth should be WATER depth aka at the middle of the skimmer face) enough? Add about 8" for the steel, gunite, plaster, etc.

Now is the time to say IT--------------LET the mud begin!!! The journey has begun!

So day two is long gone with re-bar and plumbing stub-out installed. The re-bar is quite impressive to see them work the iron so easily. Now I sit and wait for the inspector to show up. Plumber I'm using has been in the businesses many years and giving me lots of advise. He told me a few thing I didn't think of. The spa jets at different levels as well as the seating area. Have one sitting area deeper than other to accommodate tall or short people. On my equipment pad since I'm building a wall to cover the equipment to install a 1ft footer to help with the weight of the cement blocks and tile. Not to do the clean up my self after the gunite he said it quite a mess. He said money well spent and not that much cost, so I'm looking to get a quote for that. Still looking at companies that do concrete decking with cantilever coping in League City area. If you know a good one pass it on please.

Nice to hear the plumber was so helpful! How do we get the inspection done?? hummmmmmmmmm Are you sure he was told he is needed? There was one build where they forgot to call them in so..........it sat for 2 weeks before someone called and asked where they were LOL

Inspection went great yesterday, everything passed and ready for gunite. I was pushing for Friday(which I was told wouldn't be a problem) but I've been pushed back till Wednesday:hammer:. Gunite company has fallen behind. So going to cover the sides just in case it rains. and find something to do with myself. Maybe test my tab water to get an idea what I'm in for.

Here is a little update as I try to get everything back on track . Gunite Company push me back 5 day so that threw my schedule completely off. Plumbers will be finishing up today and ready for inspections. The block wall for equipment pad was a little more channeling that I thought but that is coming along, I need to have it up by Wednesday for electrician to set panel. Back yard looks like a disaster area for sure and a muddy mess, you really don't understand how bad it is till you see for your own back yard tore up. The electrical and plumbing done this week with all inspection pass. Next week will guys come to cover and tile goes in.
