Good morning- heaters worked great all winter (use every weekend) and yesterday wouldn’t fire up and got IF code. It’s not gas flow from line just wondering what other “simple“ troubleshooting things to look at? Thank you

See page 57 for IF code. It basically says it is a gas problem, flame sense problem, or Inspect gas orifices for blockages which could prevent gas flow. Remove and inspect burners for blockages.

Those heaters sometimes spring a leak in the heat exchanger. Check inside and around the heater for any signs of water leaking. With the heater off, turn off the pump while listening to the exhaust area for the sound of air being sucked in.

In my experience, IF has always been associated with spider webs in the gas nozzles. Usually when I don't use the heater for several months.
Thanks for the replies! I started w the easiest fix first which was back wash and cleaned the skimmers (pool has been neglected as it won’t stop raining) and that did the trick (flow issue)
A flow/pressure issue should cause the pressure switch to remain open and the heater won't try to start.
IF means that the heater tried to start, but the ignition module could not confirm actual flame.
A flow issue won't cause an IF error.
