Ice in loop loc cover

Hi,
I had my pool liner installed this fall . The water level was filled to just below the skimmer . The loop loc cover was put in at that time .
We just had about 12 inches if snow which has melted on the cover , but now there is a partially frozen layer of ice on the cover . The cover is drooping evenly around the perimeter of the pool and lying about 10 inches below the edge of the pool where the coping meets the concrete. Is this normal?
Thanks for any input .
Jane

Leave the cover alone. That is the purpose of the springs on the straps to balance the snow/ice weight. If you get a thaw where everything on the cover melts then you may want to try tightening the straps. But chances are the cover is too heavy for you to do much so leave it alone until spring.
