@mknauss - Alright, looked at a couple of videos, looks easy enough except that I don't have the lube for the O rings. The pool guy has ghosted me anyhow, so I might as well wrap it up.
You'll use the strap wrench to loosen the old but the new goes with hand tight only. When all is up and running just re-inspect for drips and then snug it a bit more. The O rings pretty much work well not needing to overthighen. Lube here is key to a good seal.
Unlike most every other device they sell, Pentair "allows" the replacement of the SWG cell, by the user, without affecting the warranty. Not the SWG's transformer (Power Center), that must be installed by a "pro," but Pentair considers the cell a user replaceable part, because it is so easy and simple to do.
