After fixing my Intellitouch with @Jimrahbe precious help, I have just replaced my IC40 SWG with a brand new one. Lights are on (getting power) but I’m getting a communication lost on my phone and can’t control the unit.
everything looks normal except salt light is red (planning to get salt today). Could it prevent the unit to communicate properly with the panel? Thanks

i,

Make sure that the IntelliChlor check box is enabled..

Also... Since you had so much disconnected from your main board, please make sure that the "Surge card" is connected to the comm port with a small cable. The surge card is mounted to the back wall of your EasyTouch and looks like this..

You also still owe me a pic of the inside of your enclosure.. Like this one..

Thanks,

Jim R.

Jim, I think once again you nailed it.
there is a spare connector and nothing connected to the surge board. However if this is the issue how do I connect it to the main board as I only have two comm ports and they are both used.
thanks a lot again.

i,

Keep in mind that anytime you connect or disconnect a com port connection, the power must be off to the EasyTouch...

All the com ports are electrically the same, even if they are in different locations.. One end of the cable in your hand needs to connect to one of the two on your main board, and the other end goes to the SWCG power supply/surge board. Take the cable you took off of the main board and plug it into one of the empty connectors on the surge board.

That should get you working..

Thanks,

Jim R.
