Looking for guidance on returning to my iAqualink pump schedule after manually turning the pump off and then back on. My pump was running as scheduled in low-speed mode. I turned it off through the iAqualink web app and then turned it back on after a minute. The pump powered up and is now running at it highest speed, even though it should be running at the low speed for another hour. It's not a big issue at the moment but I want to better understand the app design for future situations. Can I force the pump (and any other equipment) back on schedule or do I have to wait until the next timed event to take over. Hope my question is clear.
Thanks.

The scheduler turns things on and off. That's it. If you change those things in between scheduled times the scheduler doesn't care anymore.

The only time this doesn't apply is if you power cycle aqualink. Then it will put things as scheduled.

When you say you turned the pump off, how did you do it? Did you turn the function filter/pump off and back on with the filter/pump icon, or did you turn it back on using a VSP speed command?

The icon. I'm not aware of being able to turn it off with the VSP control. But if you change the speed that will also remain until the schedule changes it again.

Mark,
As PoolGate replied - I turned it off and then back on with the Filter Pump icon on the home screen.

Thanks, PoolGate. You said, "...the scheduler doesn't care anymore." So what will happen at the next scheduled event - 9pm, when the pump is scheduled to return to the low-speed setting? Are you saying that because I interrupted the schedule it will stay at the high speed or will it revert back to being on schedule? If it will stay at the high speed, then how do I "power cycle" the Aqualink? Thanks again!

The scheduler will perform the next scheduled event.

If the speeds are set up right then the Pool speed (automatically associated with pump/filter) should be the lowest speed you ever want to run. So when you turn filter/pump on it should run the slow speed.

You want to schedule faster speeds as a subset of the filter/pump time depending on what you want to do, i.e. skimming, cleaning, etc.

With the Aqualink system the fastest speed always takes priority if two or more items are active at the same time.

So schedule filter/pump for the whole duration that you want the pump running, and then turn on/off the faster speed functions within the filter/pump run time and the pump should drop back to the slower speeds when the other functions are turned off.

Since you are saying that your pump runs faster than the slow speed when you turn filter/pump on leads me to believe that you don’t have the slowest speed set up for the Pool speed in your VSP speed setup page. Here’s that page from my setup.

When I do what you did manually, the pump primes and then settles down at the speed set for "Pool." I have that set to the lowest I use (1100 rpm). The schedule bumps it up as needed. It sounds like you may want to change your setup to something like that.

At any rate (you probably know), you can set the speed any time to anything you want with the "VSP Spd Adj" button in the app. Cheers!

Thank You! I appreciate the explanation and that's exactly what I needed to know. I have Pool set to my max speed, so I'll flip that and follow the approach you described. Thanks again, all!
