Hi! I bought the steel pro 12 x 30 bestway pool. I am trying to attach my automatic skimmer that attaches to the frame, and I have two I guess suction lines with the T fitting, if I have read correctly in other threads. It doesn't seem to have a whole lot of suction, it gets it to the basket, and it doesn't go down, if that makes sense. I see the black plastic plug. Can I use that to plug up one of the suction ports to give the skimmer more suction, without hurting the pump? I am doing this by myself, and I upgraded the pool pump to the 1500 filter pump, which moves the water much better.

The two suction lines are anti-entrapment for safety. Plugging one creates a safety hazard that someone can become trapped by the suction and drown.
Debris should go into the skimmer basket and then you periodically empty the basket.

Yes, I understand, but, it is just me and one other person, so besides safety, and i understand, why they changed it, is it alright to do so without hurting pump.
