I had my liner removed today, how bad is this?

Can you post some closer pictures of the panels that have the rust...looks like they have completely deteriorated. Is there any structure to those panels?
The panels go into channels (vertical pieces)...inspect those for damage.
The panels are backed by something...what is the quality of the backing behind the panels?

Almost looks like there was a leak in the seal at the returns...

That is the best picture I have right now. I am out of town & they are working on it. I had someone take pics after they left but I haven’t heard from them yet.
I was hoping to get some insight on what I was looking at so I will be able to check against what they tell me. They are great people and I trust them but I read so many different things on Google so far

I am out of town so I had my boyfriend take pictures. I will be able to talk to them tomorrow about it but was trying to get other opinions so I could have something to compare it to.
I trust them a lot but from researching online, it could be bad or possibly just need sanding. Here are the other 3 pics I have

If the panels are sound, then they can be prepped and protected. I used spray galvanizing.
If they have been compromised, then it needs to be corrected.
The extent of the damage really drives the solution.
I was trying to get a sense of the extent of the damage with closer pictures...really hard to tell from those pictures. Really only way to know is to probe the panels and see if they are compromised.
If the panels are compromised, then the structural side limiting factor will be the C channels and the joints. If you have nothing to attach new panels to, that will be a bigger fix.
I would certainly ensure that the returns are solid, I think they are the source of the water.
